DC fans use less power than the AC fan models. However, AC Fans can connect directly to a power source without a transformer. DC fans on a whole are much quieter than AC motor ceiling fans. Also, the DC motor is normally of a slimmer build because it is more compact than an AC motor and it is lighter.Jul 16, 2017
