Hydrostatic pressure at any height below the water surface is calculated by P=hdg where h is the height below the open water surface, d is the density of water and g is the acceleration due to gravity. So if you want to calculate gauge pressure at height h then use formula P=hdg+P\u2218 where P\u2218 is atmospheric pressure.Apr 3, 2014');})();(function(){window.jsl.dh('__t1MYKidAbbO0PEPzNeC-AQ38','');})();(function(){window.jsl.dh('__t1MYKidAbbO0PEPzNeC-AQ76','
Gage pressure is the most often used method of measuring pneumatic pressure. It is the relative pressure of the compressed air within a system. Gage pressure can be either positive or negative, depending upon whether its level is above or below the atmospheric pressure reference.
