Most of my new builds include a PS/2 keyboard and mouse because they always work. The other consideration is the PS/2 is faster than USB when gaming since PS/2 is a direct link to the motherboard and CPU. PS/2 will not tie up 2 USB ports which is important if there are only 4 ports to work with.
