They're not bad, the only difference is that modular or semi-modular PSUs give the flexibility to only connect the cables you need. It's very usual to need all the cables. A semi modular power supply usually has only the necessary cables connected so for most users the difference between semi and fully is zero. Just get a semi to reduce clutter they usually aren't too much more expensive. ... However, it's not a big deal if you buy a non-modular psu. It's just a nice extra to have.
